Rick Owens is a world-famous designer known for his “darkly glamorous, post-apocalyptic take on gothic grunge.” With a career that began in the early 1990s in a community college pattern-cutting course, he is now at the pinnacle of avant-garde design. Temple of Love is the “first critical appraisal of Owens’s work, documenting the evolution of nearly three decades of the designer’s inimitable worldview.” This selection is connected to Colorwear and will highlight the work of Rick Owens, as well as other fashion-related exhibition guides, books, and magazines in the Lemon Art Research Library’s collection.
