Larry Bell, MVD #177 (Mirage Vapor Drawing), 1990

Featured in Larry Bell: Improvisations Exhibition. After years working with glass, Larry Bell turned to paper for its light absorption. Since the late 1980s, his Mirage series has used collage and vacuum deposition to create illusory spaces with light-responsive materials, mimicking desert optical effects. Join Docent Tom Fullington as he guides us through this process of heat and light.
