Join Museum Docents for an in-depth exploration of a single work of art. These 30-minute, interactive gallery talks spark connections and conversation about the featured object’s history, meaning, and relationship to other works in the collection.

Acclaimed artist Leonardo Drew, known for his abstract sculptures made from materials like wood, cotton, iron, and paper, has created a new site-specific commission for Phoenix Art Museum. By transforming these materials through processes like burning, rusting, and weathering, Drew's works explore the tension between order and chaos, prompting audiences to reflect on the nature and meaning of life.

Join Master Docent Cathie Rubins for this premiere, featured in the newly renovated modern and contemporary art galleries of Phoenix Art Museum. The Collection: 1960 – Now showcases a new rotation of contemporary art, including large-scale paintings, installations, digital and new media works, and assemblages, all exploring materiality and the evolution of self-expression.
