Join Phoenix Art Museum for a series of films inspired by special-engagement exhibition Multiple Realities: Experimental Art in the Eastern Bloc, 1960s–1980s, beginning at the end of May and continuing every Wednesday evening in June. Don't miss our special conversation with Zbig Rybczynski, a Polish-born filmmaker, artist, and innovator whose work is featured in the exhibition.

Academy-nominated masterpiece Cold War paints a passionate love story set against historical upheavals across the Polish countryside and bohemian Paris. Wiktor, a musician on a state-sponsored mission to collect folk songs, discovers a captivating young singer named Zula in a performance for the ages. Their turbulent relationship plays out in stolen moments between the jazz clubs, bridged by their passion for music and for each other.

Presented in Polish with English subtitles. Estimated runtime: 89 min.
