June’s PhxArt Book Club selection is The Art Thief, a true story about the most prolific art thief in recent history. Master thief Stephane Breitwieser, with the assistance of his accomplice and lover, carried out more than two hundred heists over an eight-year period across Europe, motivated by the singular desire to possess objects of great beauty. This book club selection relates to the Museum’s European art collection.
