Arizona Costume Institute invites you to a brunch and intimate conversation with director, chief fashion curator, and author, Valerie Steele. A renowned fashion historian, Steele will discuss her recent book which draws on key psychoanalytic concepts about the body, sexuality, and the unconscious to interpret the work of designers such as Schiaparelli, Versace and McQueen. She will also share stories behind notable garments in the F.I.T's collection, from how they were acquired to their presentation.
